We all know that there are better sollutions to sauces than using real mayonaise. There’s light mayonaise, mayonaise based on yoghurt, ketchup, but still it seems that the real Hellmann’s mayonaise is popular. In the following commercial, Hellmann’s explicitly addresses the people that do indeed care about nutritionfacts, as it emphasizes the natural side of the mayonaise. Thus, interestingly, they are trying to sell a hazardous product to an audience that should be aware of it!

Hellmann’s is trying to make its product more attractive to an audience that usually does not consent to such products, by emphasizing the good side of the bad product. It is not artificial nor doubtfully bad for the environment; it is real and therefore perfect for the conscious households. Not only does the commercial reach out to adults, it reaches out to parents that do not want their children to live an unhealthy life – what most Americans are currently either afraid of or encountering.  The situation of the mom saying she does not want food that is bad for her kids, implies the goodness of this real mayonnaise.
