weHAZads is a young and dynamic advertising watchdog organization. We analyze visual advertisements, with the majority of the focus being on television advertisements, as this remains to attract the largest audiences and provides impulses for the whole advertising industry across different media platforms. We focus our analysis on American television commercials, and specifically on the promotion hazardous products. The category of hazardous products includes products that cause risk behavior, such as fast food, alcohol and gambling. These products are rather difficult to promote, especially with the increasing self consciousness of consumers regarding health and welfare.

With our analysis of advertisements, we hope to help media professionals (especially in the advertising industry) in such a way that they can learn how hazardous products are being advertised.
